About Nowgong College :
Nowgong College , established on 7th August, 1944, is one of the pioneer colleges of Assam. Established with the permission from the University of Calcutta, the college has been playing a pivotal role in imparting quality education since its inception. The college is located at the heart of Nagaon district. It imparts Under graduate and Post Graduate level of education with about 90 faculty members, and offers major courses in all subjects in Arts, Commerce and Science stream. Thanks to the arduous efforts of its founder like Jananeta Moti Ram Bora, Principal Sahityacharyya Jajneswar Sharma, some distinguished personalities, administrators, teachers and students, the college has produced many extra-ordinary talents and made a distinguished position in the academic, social and intellectual realm of the state.

1. The online admission form and prospectus are available in the Nowgong College website www.nowgongcollege.edu.in. Prospective students are advised to go through the college website for access to online forms, prospectus and other informations.
2. There is no provision for offline form fill-up and admission.
3. All admissionsshall be purely on the basis of merit and the reservation policy will be maintained as per Govt. rules.
4. Admission will be held on Fee Waiver Scheme of Govt. of Assam for students of Assam domicile only.
5. Candidates willing to apply under extracurricular activitiescategory must upload their relevant and authentic documents at the time of online form fill-up.
6. In case of ST, SC & OBC candidates, the caste certificates to be uploaded must be duly counter signed by the Deputy Commissioner or the persons authorised by him.
7. Gap certificate from the Principal of the institution last attended to be uploaded for admission of concerned students.
8.Selection of Honours will be made on the basis of the total marks obtained in the last examination subject to the availability of seats in the subject.
9.Admission committee reserves the right of allotting Honours after technology mediated counselling.
10.Last date for online form fill-up and admission may be extended for CBSE students depending on the declaration of their results.
11.No claim for admission will be entertained after the date of admission.
12.Date of admission will be notified in the College website. Students are asked to visit the College website regularly. Tentative date of publication of merit list for admission into T.D.C. 1st Semester is 15/08/2021.
13.On the day of admission all students must be available in the contact no provided at the time of form fill-up. They will be contacted over phone during the process of counselling.

One Active Mobile Number with you (Duplicate Mobile No will not be Allowed).
* One Front Face Clear Looking Scan or Clicked Photograph {(200(H) x277(V)pixel, (Below 100 KB)}
* Scan/Image Copy of Your Last Passed “Marks Sheet”.
* Scan/Image Copy of Last “Pass Certificate”.
* Scan/Image Copy Your “Bank Pass Book”.
* Scan/Image Copy of Last “Admit Card”.
* One Scan/Image of Signature. (Below Size 100 KB in Jpeg/Jpg/ Pdf Format).
* Extra-Curricular Activities Certificate (If Apply from Quota)
* One Account No, Account Holder Name, Bank Name and IFSC & MICR Code
* The students should furnish the details of Bank Account i.e. Bank Name, Branch Name, Account Number, IFS Code, Mobile Number. Once the data is submitted by the students, the same cannot be changed during their tenure in the College otherwise they will be deprived from the Govt. beneficiary schemes.
* The students must furnish any one of following supporting documents to prove their domicile of Assam like – PRC/Voter Identity Card of Self or Parent/NRC of Self or Parent /ADHAR Card of Self or Parent/ BPL Card of family/Birth Certificate issued by Registrar of Birth and Death/Pass Port of Selfor Parent.
